My name is Emil. I enjoy travelling in somewhat unusual ways and places. I am escpecially fascinated by polar and high mountain regions, but when it comes to traveling, I'm up for anything. As long as it doesn't include several days of doing nothing at the beach. As such, this website is dedicated to travel in slightly odd ways and places.

My love for travelling was sparked by my parents, who brought me on family vacations all over the globe. My own traveling life began with a railroad trip from Berlin to Athens, going through much of Central and Eastern Europe. I now enjoy travelling solo, giving me complete freedom to do whatever I want. When planning a trip, I'd rather go somewhere new and overwhelming than somewhere tried and tested. Physical and mental challenges have also become quite a big aspect of my trips. In my current state, working all year for 5 weeks of legal holiday doesn't quite compute with the way I want to live life. Thoughts of long term travel have recently got me into the game of traveling cheap, cutting expenses through wild-camping, cooking and human propulsion. Apart from the traveling itself, I also love photography. Check out my gallery to get an idea of the sort of photos I do! I am no professional.
